It's OUTTA THERE!

Naomi was at school Tuesday in circle time and the teacher was asking if anybody had lost a tooth. One kid was telling about his, when Naomi said "Here's one right now!" She had just pulled it out.

Winter Days in Collierville

Cuddle-Bug Fiona loves to lie close to Daddy whenever she can. She will watch basketball, football or Seinfeld with him. Or, she will hold down the fort while he catches some zzzzzzz's.

Cameron brought his Momma flowers last Sunday when he arrived for our weekly family dinner. He does this occasionally and it always makes me smile. Guess he loves me!

The girls want to get creative since we are spending a lot of time indoors. Here they are expressing their Monet mood.

Fiona took a real liking to Gpa Bob, and his ear was what she wanted a lot of the time!

Adam's family joined us when we went to Beale St. for lunch. Then we walked them down the block, but none of us could shake the "skuzzy" feeling that Beale St. gives us. It really does represent the city of Memphis well!

When Gma & Gpa were here we went into a shop on Beale St. where Fiona found herself a fitting hat. She has the personality to wear a hat like that. She is such a fun/funny/tough/strong-willed little girl. We love her so much!

Cameron Had A Birthday...

Cameron turned 22 recently. Happy Birthday Cam! He and Carolyn came over and shared pizza with us. He got to order his birthday present online that night from Amazon. He chose 2 seasons of some show he loves. Something about Ninjas I think...Here he is getting ready to blow out his candles on the cake. WE LOVE YOU CAMERON.

Walking on the Boardwalk

Grandma & Grandpa were here last week and we took them to as many fun places as we could think of. Here are some photos of the day we went on the boardwalk out to the Wolf River. We had a beautiful day with the wind blowing a little bit so nobody got too hot. When we were done walking we went to Arbys for some lunch.

Girls, Girls Everywhere

The kids came over last night for Mom's tasty chicken enchiladas. There were no leftovers. The girls were running around here, wrestling with Adam, dancing and doing flips. And Holly was giving out cuddles. I got them to sit down for 15 seconds so I could snap a few photos.

Holly's Special Day

On a happy note...Holly Francis Mallory was blessed at church today! Lindsey's parents and her two sisters, as well as two little nephews who live in AZ all drove up from Birmingham for the weekend and Holly's big day. She was angelic in her beautiful blessing gown. Adam's blessing was touching. Trying to recall it now, I do remember that he blessed her to have a meek spirit and to surround herself with people who would be good examples to her. Adam, Grandpa Rick, Grandpa James, Great Uncle Ken Mendoza were all in the circle. Holly didn't make a peep. Afterwards we went to have lunch at Red Robin together. Then Holly, Delaney and Lindsey drove back down to Birmingham to spend the week with her family. We will miss them, but we know how important it is to let the girls bond with everybody who loves them so much. Keep checking Lindsey's blog for photos of them and Holly in her blessing gown. I know she mentioned they took photos today.

Water Bugs

I haven't been taking many photos lately...I don't know why. Maybe because we've been spending a lot of time indoors and I don't find much interesting to shoot. So here are two of my favorites from the recent bowl game in FL. The girls wanted to go to the outdoor pool every chance they could. I'm telling you, they are water-bugs!

Waiting for Holly

Delaney was with us all afternoon while Lindsey was giving birth. She had fun playing with her aunties. After their bath we dressed her and got the great news that Holly had arrived. So I took her to meet her new lil sister. Watching these 3 girls running all over the house, its crazy to think one year from now there will be another little girl right on their heels!

Yesterday we went to see Holly. Grandpa picked her up, put her on his chest, and then fell asleep with her...aaahhhh. She's a good snuggler. Delaney was busy playing with her aunties and showing me some of her stuff. She cuddled with me for a minute, but then was off again. Lindsey says Delaney hasn't been giving her the time of day. Delaney's got another 2 weeks of adjustment, at least, to being bumped.

I got this photo from Lindsey's site, where there are a few more. Rick and I feel so blessed to see our family growing in such a wonderful way. Holly arrived Monday night, and I got to the hospital about 15 minutes after her birth. I got to hold her, and there is nothing more wonderful than holding a newborn babe. But then I had to rush back home and pack for the bowl game because we had to leave early Tuesday morning for the airport. Now, already, we're back home. Today Fiona, Naomi and Rick will meet Holly for the first time. So exciting!

She's On Her Way !

That's Delaney looking out the window...for her lil sister? TONIGHT sometime she will be a BIG sister, because Lindsey's in the hospital in labor as I write! She went to her normal weekly doctor's appt this morning and he sent her over to check in at the hospital. Apparently her blood pressure was a little too high. So she's there now, Adam is with her, and the contractions are coming. We're anxiously waiting here at home for the good news...and we've got Delaney with us. I don't know how much she understands, but her life is about to change in a big way. Naomi has been encouraging Delaney with how great it is to be the big sister. We'll keep you posted!

The Christmas Photo Saga Continues !

Oh my goodness, it never ends...last night we wanted to take a photo to put on our Christmas card. Its a tradition with us, as you might know. Its also a major headache, as somebody is always goofing around in the photos. This year I thought we'd only include the little girls, since Ryan is in New Jersey and the other boys aren't living at home anymore. I thought it'd be easier...I was wrong! We took 33 photos with the girls (using our camera's timer) and we didn't get a perfect one, but we did get ONE we can use. I promise I didn't curse at anybody this year during the process, but I was GLAD when it was over. The girls were tired and by the end I was bribing them with Tic Tac mints.Here are a couple of the oops! photos. Funny.

Gasoline Falls Again

Boy, there was good news to share today. I paid $1.35 a gallon for gas today at Kroger! Nearly on empty, it cost $21 to fill up my Odyssey mini van. THANK YOU, SANTA!

Fiona is so sweet!

This is from July, right after we got back from vacation. In Seattle Fiona took a liking to gum. She still likes gum. So does her daddy, so does her sister.

What to do when its too cold outside....

This morning the girls wanted to go out and ride their bikes, but the wind was blowing and I felt it too cold to do that. So they found something else to do...handstands and flips...see?

The Mud-Sucker

When Cam was a little boy he used to love to drink from puddles. Didn't matter the location of the puddles, or how much debris the water in them contained. To him it all tasted the same...good. I could be crossing the Safeway parking lot and if I didn't have a good grasp on his little hand, that bugger might just lean over and take a drink from the puddle at the curb! I often worried what terrible germs he might ingest doing this, so we were very careful to keep a watchful eye, at least out in public. Here he is doing just what I'm talking about...which is why he earned the nickname "The Mud Sucker". And if you ever see a grown man leaning over to take a sip out of a puddle one day, take a close look......it just might be him!
